The swimmer boys were in the pool this morning. Not sure if it was a regional or national squad. You know the ones. Tiny waists, massive shoulders. Like upside down traffic cones with six packs.

If you want to follow the numbers more closely I’m on Strava as Rob Cummins Wheelworx or if you’re more of a pictures instead of reading type I post on Instagram as wheelworxrob.

They are all big wide backs, square pecs, bulgy triceps and traps and six packs all over the place.

And tiny wild coloured Speedos.

So anyway, there I was swimming along, moving well. In my mind I’m looking something like a shorter, skinnier, balder, handsomer Michael Phelps with a beard when this upside down traffic cone shaped fucker glides past me and all he’s doing is lying on his back and kicking.

To be clear. I’m full on swimming.

He’s also chatting to the guy in the lane beside him as they back kick their way down the pool! Fucking chatting!

While I’m trying not to drown.

He’s making me look like I’m stopped. I actually checked to make sure I was still swimming.

Yep. Arms still turning over, legs still kicking (for all the good that‘s doing me, I’ve got a kick that’s about as useful as a tits on a bull)

I thought that maybe I’d gotten distracted and forgotten to take some strokes or something and I was just floating there….

But nope. Still swimming.

The only consolation I could come up with was that I could probably fucking kill him on a bike…maybe…
